Annual Credit Reports

I think most people would agree that the information in one’s credit report is important. What many people don’t know is that most credit reports contain mistakes. According to a study cited by CNN last year, 79% of credit reports have mistakes of some sort. 25% of the credit reports reviewed had mistakes serious enough to deny consumers access to credit or in some cases a job.

With that type of info in mind its good to know that consumers can now access their credit reports once a year for free. From the About Us page at AnnualCreditReport.com:

AnnualCreditReport.com processes requests for free credit file disclosures (commonly called credit reports). Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) consumers can request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. AnnualCreditReport.com provides consumers with the secure means to do so.

Get your free credit reports from this weeks cool site, AnnualCreditReport.com at www.AnnualCreditReport.com.
